Jeffrey M. Blessinger

Attorney Jeffrey M. Blessinger earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1996, and his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1992.  His practice is primarily focused on the areas of family and divorce law, municipal law and civil litigation.

Attorney Blessinger has a strong reputation for his tough, yet compassionate family law practice.  He has a proven track record in successfully resolving all types of family law cases for his clients, ranging from difficult child custody cases to complex maintenance/alimony cases.  He is supported by his well qualified staff, including his paralegal Rita, and utilizes local experts in the areas of accounting, business valuation, and psychological and vocational evaluation to successfully fight for the rights of his clients.

He is currently the Vice President and a board member of the Columbia-Sauk County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in our area.  He has also been the Treasurer of the Sauk County Bar Association since 1999.

Attorney Blessinger practices in the area of municipal law as the Assistant Village Attorney and municipal prosecutor for the Village of Lake Delton.  He has extensive courtroom experience prosecuting cases against defendants accused of operating while intoxicated, domestic disorderly conduct and various traffic offenses.  In recent years, he had taught criminal law and juvenile law to Police Science students at Madison Area Technical College.

Attorney Blessinger has been very successful representing clients in civil lawsuits.  For example, he successfully represented a Wisconsin Dells hotel owner against a Michigan telecommunications company accused of defrauding Wisconsin consumers.  Attorney Blessinger convinced a Sauk County jury to award $250,000.00 in punitive damages.  The case was subsequently upheld by the Wisconsin Court of Appeals.  In addition, he has been extremely successful in representing clients who have been injured in all types of accidents.

Attorney Blessinger lives in Baraboo with his wife, 3 daughters and son and is actively involved in the community.  His hobbies include fishing, boating, gourmet cooking, and spending time with his family outdoors.
